‘Get Active’ 2015
85 participants have just completed the Get Active -May Madness 4 Week Challenge. Get Active is an exciting community health and wellbeing initiative that promotes an active and healthy lifestyle, giving participants the chance to try new activities, lose weight, meet new people all in a fun and supportive environment.
For the challenge we put together weekly schedules of over 30 activities that included walking, running, yoga, core, circuits, pilates, spin, bootcamp, step, bums & tums, kettlebells, metafit and much more!
The participants give a fantastic commitment over the 4 weeks with hours of exercise providing some impressive weight-loss results and increased levels of fitness. The most pleasing aspect of the challenge was the people who embraced fitness classes for the very first time and are now taking part in regular fitness activities.
